Conspirators continue to harass me, alleges Kavitha | Hyderabad News

Hyderabad: A day after her removal as honorary president of the Telangana Boggugani Karmika Sangam (TBGKS), the BRS-affiliated Singareni union, BRS MLC and founder president of Telangana Jagruthi Kalvakuntla Kavitha alleged that ‘conspirators’, who leaked her letter written to her father earlier, continue to harass her in different ways and removed her from the post while she is abroad now.She said this was against labour laws and was done purely for political reasons. In an open letter to TBGKS members on Thursday, Kavitha said: “After the party’s silver jubilee meeting, I expressed the opinions of various sections of people in the form of a letter to party president KCR. In fact, I had written many such letters to my father in the past too. But during my visit to the US, one such letter was leaked. I demanded that those who leaked my letter and conspired against me be exposed. However, instead of addressing my concerns, a grudge was held against me for simply questioning the party’s internal functioning. The subsequent events and incidents are well known to you all.” She said when she asked that the conspirators who leaked her letter be named, vengeance was directed at her. The BRS MLC said from the very beginning of the Telangana statehood movement, she was at the forefront in uniting Singareni coal mine workers and bringing them into the struggle. “On August 17, 2015, at the general body meeting held in Kothagudem, which was attended by more than 1,000 members from 11 areas, I was unanimously elected as the honorary president of TBGKS,” she said. She said after the Congress came to power in Telangana, while she was fighting for the welfare of Singareni workers, some began conspiring against her. “Though such conspiracies cause me no personal loss, their clear intention is to remove me, and weaken the unity of workers who are working for their welfare,” she said. However, she said during the past one decade, she stood by the workers as a sister, and conveyed her wishes to Koppula Eshwar, who has been elected as the new honorary president of TBGKS.
