Hyderabad: HMWSSB to launch online water feasibility service

Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWSSB) is set to launch a new online service for obtaining a Water Feasibility Certificate.

The initiative aims to prevent delays and reduce the need for property owners to frequently visit HMWSSB offices.

Applicants must visit the HMWSSB portal, click on the link titled ‘Apply Online for Water Feasibility Certificate’, and submit the required details. A file number will be generated, and applicants must upload all necessary documents. The original indemnity bond must be submitted to the department for record-keeping.

A processing fee of Rs 5,000 must be paid either at the cash counter or through online modes, according to an official release.

After officials complete field verification, files are approved weekly by a committee comprising the ED/Revenue Director and CGM (Revenue). Following committee approval, the CGM (Revenue) prepares the feasibility certificate charge estimates.

Applicants will receive an SMS alert with charge details and must pay online or at the cash counter within 30 days. Once connection charges are received, the CGM (Revenue) issues the feasibility certificate with a digital signature, the release stated.
