When it was first announced that NTR would be working on the crossover project War 2 alongside Bollywood star Hrithik Roshan, expectations were sky-high. Many believed the film would create a strong impact, but the final outcome turned out to be disappointing for everyone involved.
War 2 has not only ended as one of the biggest disasters in recent times but has also become a black mark in NTR’s otherwise consistent filmography. The decision to take up this project has been viewed as a serious miscalculation that damaged the actor’s momentum.
This mistake could serve as a warning for other Telugu superstars too. Prabhas was reportedly considering teaming up with Bollywood director Siddharth Anand for a spy-themed film. Mythri Movie Makers were even said to have paid advances to both the actor and the director.
But after the poor reception of War 2, it seems unlikely that Prabhas would pursue such an idea now. The audience in both South India and Bollywood has shown very little interest in spy universe films, making them risky and unrewarding ventures.
Prabhas must take note of the failure and avoid repeating the same error. Siddharth Anand might carry a reputation for safe box office results, but viewers today expect fresh and engaging stories rather than formula-driven projects that no longer excite.
