How we ended up buying a 3rd Suzuki Access 125 in the family!

Since they already owned an Access, this time their first choice was the TVS Jupiter.

BHPian JDMBOI recently shared this with other enthusiasts:

The Story

In 2012, we purchased an Access 125 and my uncle loved it so much that he asked us many times over the years to sell it to him but we never did, so when all of his efforts, to convince us, went in vain he bought a 2023 Access (helped them with this purchase too) and when the need of another scooter arose, I received a call from my brother and this time their first choice was the TVS Jupiter 110 since they already have an Access but somehow again bought the Access.

Jupiter

Suzuki Access 125

Note: This is my paternal uncle’s scooter. I was responsible for booking to delivery.

TVS Jupiter

I booked a TVS Jupiter 110 the next day (after the call), told them the urgent need for the scooter and paid Rs 5K for booking and the waiting time given was 15 days. But the dealership failed to deliver the scooter even after 15 days and since the need was urgent, we cancelled the booking.

Colour options

Note: Information below is 6 months old.

Top variants, i.e SXC Drum and SXC Disc, give you 3 colour options and these three colours are exclusive to top variants only. (SXC = Smart Connect) While the base drum (with alloy) and base drum (steel) offer 5 & 3 colour options, respectively.

Base (drum) variant

This is the Base variant with drum brakes.

Has LED lights but doesn’t have DRL which is offered on the top variant.

Cluster comes with a white backlight which turns on as you turn the key to ON.

It offers a pass button but no hazard light integration in the turn signal button, start stop feature & self-start.

The seat mount

Can fit 2 open-face helmets.

All the functionality is offered in lock mechanism, from fuel to seat.

Chunky side foot rest. Don’t remember if it’s plastic or rubber.
