Hyderabad: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials caught S Rajesh Kumar, Sub-Registrar of Vanasthalipuram, on charges of demanding and accepting a bribe on Friday.
Another person who received the bribe amount was also arrested.
According to ACB officials, Rajesh Kumar had demanded a bribe of Rs. 1 lakh and accepted Rs. 70,000 from the complainant for processing the registration of a property.
The bribe amount was recovered from K Ramesh, a resident of Nagole.
Both were produced before the special court for ACB cases and remanded in judicial custody. A further probe is underway.
