Mahbubnagar man held for selling army canteen liquor, 33 bottles seized 

A man accused of illegally selling army canteen liquor bottles at higher prices was arrested by the Mahbubnagar excise officials on Friday, August 22.

The accused, identified as G. Sudarshan Reddy, was taken into custody following raids carried out by the District Task Force (DTF) at his residence.

During the search, the team seized 33 bottles of liquor valued at around ₹1.5 lakh. Officials said Reddy had been procuring liquor from army canteens at discounted rates, below the allotted monthly quota, and reselling the bottles at higher prices to make a profit.

According to the excise department, Reddy, who is also engaged in providing bank loans to customers, had been running this illegal trade for some time. Following his arrest, he was handed over to the Mahbubnagar excise station for further investigation.
