BHPian arun_josie recently shared this with other enthusiasts: ODO @ 1,85,000 Km and EGR/Intake Manifold cleaning done @ PPS Motors: This isn’t part of Jeep’s regular service schedule and is usually done only if there are complaints, as it’s a time-consuming job. Here are a few pics that the service center shared with me, I was very eager for a drive to check the impact of the EGR/Intake manifold cleaning. I must say that it didn’t disappoint me, I could notice a good difference in pickup and throttle response. The idling is smoother, too. Other repairs done: Glow Plug: This started throwing up a warning during the cold start. One had failed and was replaced. Wheel Bearing: In one of the wheels, the threads were worn out, causing lug nuts to get stuck frequently. So, the technician checked this issue and recommended replacing the wheel bearing. Billing: This maintenance expense made my pocket much lighter, with the total billing coming to 20K. The wheel bearing replacement was unexpected, and it cost me 9500/-. The EGR/Intake cleaning manifold cost around 8500/- The service took more than 2 days to complete, but the technicians at PPS Motors did a good job. After this service, I have done a Chennai trip, and all looks good. ODO @ 1,85,000 Km After the wash Check out BHPian comments for more insights and information.
