Thermo Fisher Scientific, a US-based global leader in scientific instrumentation, reagents, consumables, and software services, is set to strengthen its presence in India by opening two state-of-the-art facilities in Hyderabad’s Genome Valley by the end of 2025.

Bioprocess Design Centre to Accelerate Therapeutic Development

Thermo Fisher Scientific is developing the first facility, the Bioprocess Design Centre (BDC), in collaboration with the Telangana Government. It will provide cutting-edge expertise in bioprocessing and process scale-up, aimed at accelerating the development of life-changing therapies. This center will support pharmaceutical and biotech companies in bringing products to market faster and more efficiently.

Customer Experience Centre to Drive Innovation and Upskilling

The second facility, Customer Experience Centre (CEC), will serve as a hub for advanced scientific solutions. It will showcase cutting-edge instrumentation and workflow technologies across molecular biology, proteomics, clinical diagnostics, and cell and gene therapy. Beyond demonstrations, the CEC will focus on method development, technology adoption, and workforce upskilling, supported by a team of subject matter experts.

Commitment to India’s Biopharma Growth

Projectstoday.com reported that Thermo Fisher Scientific announced the news during the Biopharma Conclave 2025 in Hyderabad. Tony Acciarito, President for Asia Pacific, Middle East, and Africa, emphasized India’s biopharma sector will leap forward and affirmed the company’s deep commitment to enable that outcome.
