Hyderabad: A 20-year-old youth died allegedly by suicide allegedly due to financial difficulties. His body was found on the railway tracks between Gundlapochampally and Medchal stations. Secunderabad GRP inspector Saieshwar Goud said the deceased, Kamalli Sandeep, was a native of Medak district and had moved to the city for work. His parents work as farmers in a remote village in Medak.
A few months back, the deceased had reportedly demanded a bike from his parents. After several requests, they bought him a bike with a monthly EMI of Rs.7,000. Unable to pay the EMI every month, the deceased’s parents asked him to work to repay the money.
On Friday night, while returning to the city from Medak, he drove his bike on the railway tracks and collided head-on with a train. He died on the spot. Passersby alerted the police to the incident.
On investigation, police had found that the youth had sent a message to his younger brother around 11pm, that read, “Take possession of my body”.
“He struggled for a few months and was vexed. His parents said that this might have led him to take the extreme step,” the inspector said.

Madhapur police said the vehicle in front applied sudden brakes, leading to two vehicles behind to ram into it, and each other. The mishap led to congestion along the flyover until the vehicles were moved aside. The car owners reached a compromise at the spot and dispersed without filing any complaint, police said.
In another incident, near Basavatarakam Hospital at KBR Park in Banjara Hills on Sunday, a car suffered a flat tyre and veered on to the footpath, damaging both the car and the pavement, at about 6.40 am. Police said the occupants were youngsters returning from Sangareddy after a breakfast drive. “It was not a case of drunk driving. The occupants escaped unhurt, but a case has been registered for negligence and damaging public property,” a Banjara Hills police officer said.

Rape accused escapes from jail, held
Hyderabad: A remand prisoner accused in the rape and murder of a five-year-old boy escaped from Cherlapally Central Jail on Sunday by scaling a 20-foot wall — the first escape from the jail in the last 25 years. However, the accused, Qamar of Bihar, was re-arrested within two hours by the east zone task force.
According to sources, Qamar was assigned to paint the jail walls on Sunday. Having prepared since morning, he spotted an opportunity when a guard was distracted by a phone call.
Qamar had placed two heavy iron rods at the site in advance. He tied them together with cloth strips he had been gathering since the morning, creating a makeshift ladder.
In just 20 minutes, he propped it against the boundary wall, scaled the 20-foot structure, crossed the electric fence, and jumped outside the prison.
Once on the other side, he sought lifts from passing commuters and managed to travel towards Ramanthapur, where he intended to meet his uncle. By then, jail authorities had raised an alarm and alerted the special operations team (SOT) and east zone task force. The teams launched a search in the surrounding areas.
A team led by inspector A. Nagarjuna and supervised by ADCP Ande Srinivas Reddy tracked his movements and intercepted Qamar at Ramanthapur.
Qamar had tried to escape earlier but had not succeeded in scaling the wall and was injured in the process.
