Hyderabad: Jawaharnagar police arrest three youths, recover 13 stolen motorcycles


Jawaharnagar police arrested three youths allegedly addicted to gambling for a series of two-wheeler thefts. Thirteen stolen motorcycles were recovered, and the suspects, including a repeat offender, were remanded to judicial custody after intensified surveillance.

Hyderabad: The Jawaharnagar police cracked a series of two-wheeler thefts with the arrest of three youths who were allegedly addicted to gambling and took to crime.

The suspects, Mohd Abdul Kalam of Mancherial district, Z Venkatesh and Sai Niram Prasad of Dharmapuri in Jagtial district were caught and 13 stolen motorcycles were recovered from them.


According to the police, Abdul, who served jail time in a drug case, was staying with Venkatesh at Jammigadda in Kapra. The duo along with Prasad stole bikes from Jawaharnagar and surrounding areas. They sold them in rural areas to fund their lavish lifestyle.

Having intensified surveillance following rising theft complaints, the police nabbed the gang on Sunday night and remanded them to judicial custody on Monday.
