The Chandrababu government is moving forward with several welfare initiatives for the people of Andhra Pradesh. After five years of YSRCP rule, citizens are now experiencing a sense of relief.

The Andhra Pradesh government is preparing to take a key step for development and public welfare. Reports suggest that the Chandrababu government has decided to establish government generic medical stores in all mandals across the state.

The aim is to ease the financial burden on the poor and middle class by providing affordable medicines through generic drugs. Chandrababu has reportedly instructed officials to accept applications from BC Corporation for setting up these medical stores.

This move will not only provide low-cost medicines for the underprivileged but also create employment opportunities for BC youth. It is expected to address two major issues at once healthcare and jobs.

Currently, the sale of generic medicines in Andhra Pradesh has reached Rs 8.34 crore over the last six years, including 2024-25. However, this represents only 0.2% of the Rs 3549 crore generic medicine market.

With this new decision, Chandrababu Naidu aims to expand the market share of generic medicines while ensuring affordable healthcare for the poor.
