Really enjoyed riding the Intercetor after a long time.

Trip to Kotagiri
My cousin from Bangalore planned a trip to Kotagiri, Plan was for me to reach Bangalore on the friday evening and then ride to Kotagiri next morning. Due to some work started very late from Chennai around 4pm.
Took first break around 7pm at Alankar, Ranipet.
These are only food pics from the whole trip

As soon as i finished dinner and came out of restaurant, it started drizzling. Rode 1kms and encountered heavy rain, took shelter below a flyover. Waited sometimes for rains to stop. There were no signs of rain after few kms.
Fuel Stop in Vaniyambadi
Plan was to stay at cousin’s place but as i got very late, i didn’t wanted to disturb them late night, as they also had to start early morning next day. Booked a stay in a hotel just outside Bangalore, reached the hotel around 11:30pm.
Hotel parking
Headed out of the hotel around 5:30am next day. Plan was to meet before the nice road toll.
Breakfast break at udupi garden.
We took the kanakpura route to Mysure.
Much needed break.
Greenery all around.
From Mysuru onwards we took the route via Bandipur national park. Fantastic scenery all around and lots of animal sighting as well.

Entering into Mudumalai tiger reserve. This route is really good, if want to ride at slow pace and enjoy the views.
Finally in the hills !

Another hydration break.
First thing in Kotagiri, Strawberries dipped in chocolate at Moodys.
Some nice clicks at a view point.
Cousin’s very capable H411, loaded with all the bells and whistles. It rides really well, engine is smooth and pulls like a tractor even with pillion and luggage.
We stayed at Teanest. Nice and clean room, location was good as well. Away from hustle and bustle.
Started back to Chennai next day around 10am, this time took the usual route via Mettuplayam-Salem-Tindivanam.
Rode a bit enthusiastically in the hill and front brakes literally gave up lol. No brake pressure and level reach the hand grip. I checked and brake caliper seemed a bit hot, waited for few mins and it started working fine after cooling down. Took it slow post that, seems its a common issue among Interceptors. I was lucky that i didn’t ended up in some valley. This had happened to me once before with rear brakes in Yelagiri and that time RE had replaced the rear brake piston.
Brake level had no pressure
Rear tyre when i stopped because of brake issue.

Weather turned really bad around Vikravandi with heavy wind and i could see dark clouds, like riding into a black hole lol. Few kms ahead it started pouring heavily, i didn’t got a chance to put on rain gear. As i was completely drenched anyway, decided to ride ahead. Only get stuck in bad traffic in Tindivanam bypass. Huge pile up of cars, with heavy rain and some places at least a foot of water flowing on the edge of the road.
You can see how bad it was in the below gmaps screenshot, there is choke point in the end due to flyover construction, which turned from bad to worst due to heavy rains.

It was a long weekend so heavy rush of traffic. Reached Maduranthakam around 6:30pm and home only at 10:30pm, 4 hours to cover 95kms. But i got out easy, next day saw some reports of cars stuck for 7-8hours in that stretch.
Final trip and odo reading after reaching home. Really enjoyed riding the Intercetor after a long time. Almost 12 hours on the saddle !
