Vijayawada: Two men lost their lives after being run over by a train near Janapadu in Piduguralla of Palnadu district late on Sunday night. The incident left both victims’ bodies severely mutilated and beyond recognition. Railway police rushed to the spot soon after receiving information and began an investigation. One of the deceased was identified as a man living in the area by begging. The identity of the second victim, however, remains unknown. Police are probing whether the deaths were the result of an accident or a case of suicide. The remains of both men were shifted to the govt hospital for postmortem examination. A case has been registered, and further investigation is underway.
