Hyderabad: The GHMC has proposed leasing out 1,142.54 km of main roads to private agencies under the Comprehensive Road Maintenance Programme (CRMP) Phase II for five years, at a cost of Rs 2,828 crore in instalments.
The proposal will be placed before the GHMC standing committee meeting on Saturday, along with other projects. The lease, covering 2025–2030, will be offered zone-wise in packages, following the terms adopted in earlier phases.
Another proposal before the committee seeks approval for a request for proposal (RFP) to construct a multi-level parking facility at Charminar Old Bus Stand on a Design, Build, Finance, Operate and Transfer (DBFOT) basis, with a 15-year concession period and a possible five-year extension on performance.
The committee will also review a proposal to introduce smart parking infrastructure in Khairatabad Zone.
