Anantapur Urban Mla Daggupati Venkateswara Prasad has landed in controversy after a leaked phone call allegedly featured him using abusive language against actor Junior NTR.
The MLA denied the voice was his but still issued an apology. However, NTR fans rejected it and demanded an unconditional apology along with his suspension.
Protests broke out in Hyderabad, with fans’ meetings and demonstrations taking place. Last week, they even staged a protest outside the MLA’s camp office in his constituency.
Today, Daggupati upset the fans once again. He shared a poster on his X account paying tribute to Late Harikrishna on his death anniversary.
In the post, he praised Harikrishna’s service as a TDP Politburo member, minister, MLA, and Rajya Sabha member, remembering his warm connect with people and party workers.
NTR fans, however, called this an over-action and began trolling the MLA. They are demanding an unconditional apology first and have vowed to defeat him in the next election.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu summoned the MLA to Amaravati and sought an explanation on the group politics issue. The CM also expressed anger at him for sparking unnecessary controversies.
