Hi guys,
Since owning a Jimny, the usual bug of getting something done has been persistent. In my recent affairs, I got the wrap on the front grill.
Like most of the owners, I was not very pleased by stock grill, however I had no aspirations of any aftermarket grill design (though I like one with extra large suzuki font). Moreover on some research I found that I also will need to be cautious on quality, as cheap options are not very good with plastic.
Thus I decided to get alterations in the stock grill. Now as per research many have got it painted but I was less inclined to it as I was not sure how the color combo would look. Secondly I didn’t know any good painter who can deal with paint over chrome. Thus went ahead with wrapping from a detailer at my hometown.
The grill is wrapped with glossy black vinyl and the rectangles are wrapped with neon/ kinetic yellow color. Neon was not 100% color matched but 90% close enough. The logo was also blackened but have removed it now back to chrome (chrome is looking better).
Overall expense was 1.5K. In this I also got smoke film on front, rear indicators and tail lights. I feel the grille looks much better now, well color blended. Lets see how long this will last.
