Hyderabad: Warsiguda police arrests man for fake GHMC identity, robbery

Hyderabad: The Warsiguda police on Sunday arrested a man for impersonating a GHMC official and taking away Rs 4,300 cash and two knives from him.

According to the police, the arrested person, Ghouse Khan, alias Aftab (33), a resident of Chanchalguda, went to a meat shop and introduced himself as an official of GHMC vigilance department. He then threatened the shop owner with legal action and forcefully took away Rs 4,300 cash and two knives.


On a complaint, the police registered a case and are investigating.
