Kylaq Signature AT: Installed Pioneer DMH-AP6650BT Head Unit and Hypersonic Rear View Camera
Finally, I decided to pull the trigger and replace the factory fitted 7″ Visteon Head Unit with Pioneer DMH-AP6650BT.
I approached a couple of car accessories dealers in Pune and finally decided to go with Bhandari’s Car StyleApte Road, Pune. The price quoted was a bit on premium side, but I absolutely liked the work done by the team. They were thorough professionals and did take care of even a minor things carefully.
I was personally present during the entire installation process, there was no wire cutting/splicing at all and entire installation was just plug n play with original Skoda Couplers.
Components installed –
1. Pioneer DMH-AP6650BT Head Unit with Hi-World CAN Bus by Global Bytes and 9″ Frame
2. Hypersonic Reversing Camera with dynamic guidelines

– I also updated the head unit software to the latest available version 3.0.08. I was totally clueless what they changed/fixed in this version though. It would have been better if Pioneer had also shared the software version Release Notes to indicate the major changes.
Review after a week of usage:
Keep everything aside, the music output with stock tweeters/speakers is just amazing! It made my daily commute more enjoyable.
The head unit fitment with 9″ frame is really good – no rattles or loose fitting. The Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity is seamless and very stable. No connectivity drops/phone not connected issues anymore. It connects to the phone EVERYTIME! The steering wheel controls work just fine, including the mute button. The quality of maps and reversing camera feed is very good – fills the entire screen. Let me re-iterate, reversing camera is a must for this carit made reversing the car simple and safe – the dynamic guidelines are a bonus!
Overall I am happy with the head unit performance and looking forward to enjoy the long drives.
