Mahabubnagar: Three people were killed and five others sustained serious injuries when a private travel bus rammed into a container lorry on National Highway 44 near Katavaram Stage in Addakula mandal late on Saturday.
The bus, carrying 31 passengers from Hyderabad to Proddatur, collided with the lorry moving ahead. The deceased were identified as Address Unnisa (70), Hassan (35), and Yellamma (45).
The injured were immediately shifted to Mahabubnagar Government Hospital in a 108 ambulance.
Addakula Sub-Inspector Srinivasulu said a case has been registered and investigation is underway.
