BHPian vdk recently shared this with other enthusiasts: Last weekend, I did a Thane-Alibag(some nearby areas) return run recently (268 km total) The trip had crazy traffic, easily 3+ hours of crawling/waiting/stop-and-go kind of traffic, so average speed was just 27 km/h. Distance driven: 268 km Battery used: 73% Leftover: 27% SOC with 122 km range showing Effective range from this run: 268 + 122 = ~390 km If you scale that, 27% = 122 km 100% works out to ~452 km. Of course, EV range isn’t perfectly linear, but it gives a fair idea. Yes, I do feel it should have been higher and more consistent across all scenarios, but that applies to ICE cars as well. The only difference is we don’t keep checking the DTE in ICE cars because fuel stations are everywhere, so we never really worry about it. Quote from BHPian abacusv:Few other concern 1. Its RTO mandatory to provide a puncture kit in absence of spare wheel. The puncture kit provided comes with cigarette lighter adapter. And ix1 doesn’t have cigarette lighter slot. This kit is as good as useless. Didn’t expect this from a reputed maker. So all users, be aware of this and you may need to buy a usb c to lighter adapter or an entirely new kit for your journeys. If I have to report these issues to BMW, what is the mode? Does anyone have any contact details? It’s there, just hidden from the driver’s seat view. The cigarette lighter adapter is on the front passenger side, opposite to where Type C is present. Don’t worry, I went through the same “where the heck is it?” moment when I got my dashcam – found it only after some hunting. Check out BHPian comments for more insights and information.
