Hyderabad: Several districts in Telangana received moderate to heavy rainfall on Tuesday, with Mancherial, Sangareddy, and Rangareddy recording the highest spells.According to the Telangana Development Planning Society (TDPS), Nasapur in Mancherial received the highest rainfall at 28 mm, followed by Palvatla in Sangareddy (24.8 mm), Kandawada in Rangareddy (23.3 mm), Hathnura and Sadasivpet in Sangareddy (22 mm). Kannaiagudem in Mulugu (21.8 mm) also saw significant showers. Other districts, including Nirmal, Komuram Bheem Asifabad, and Medak, recorded between 13 mm and 20 mm.Within Hyderabad, rainfall was lighter but widespread. Hafeezpet in Serilingampally received 8.8 mm, while Rajendranagar and Bahadurpura recorded 4.8 mm each. Allapur in Kukatpally reported 4.5 mm, and areas like Jubilee Hills, Maredpally, and Shastripuram saw around 3.3 mm. Some pockets, including Rahmathnagar and Katedhan, received only 1–2 mm.The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast cloudy skies with light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by gusty winds on Wednesday.Authorities cautioned that the rains may cause waterlogging in low-lying areas, traffic congestion, slippery roads, drainage clogging, and short disruptions in power and water supply. Citizens have been advised to plan travel carefully and exercise caution, especially during evening and night hours.
