BHPian Epona recently shared this with other enthusiasts: Maruti Suzuki has organized Victoris unveil event in “The Westin” hotel in Hyderabad on 4th Sept evening. One of known Nexa Sales Manager has extended the invite and I managed to attend the event on short notice. The event is attended by approximately 200 people and most of them are Maruti Suzuki Dealer employes. The event started at 8 PM (scheduled to start at 7.30) but it was well organized. The car is unveiled by Maruti Suzuki South East Zone Chief Commercial Officer (Debjyoti Dutta). The speech is brief and within 10 mins the car is unveiled.Initial ImpressionsThe car definitely looks classy and elegant along the lines of German cars as many BHPians already mentioned. I personally liked the front end design and new DRL and Headlights setupThe new color i.e. Eternal Blue looks very good on the car and paint quality is goodThe tail lamps are nice and definitely gives KIA EV6 vibeMany are keen to test the powered tailgate with gesture control and it definitely seems to be working very wellInteriors are definitely looking much better than other maruti cars.The steering wheel and controls are well organized. The dash with soft touch materials looks and feel premium for a car of this segmentThe front seats are well put together with adequate knee, head room and thigh supportThe one negative for me is overall cabin size. The cabin size feel same as Grand Vitara (i expected that Maruti Suzuki to do better job given GV experience). Given this car slightly longer than GV, expected better cabin space management. However it looks like all that additional space gone into boot space only.The second row seat with big hump is another letdown. The knee room is fine and head room is adequate for me at 5.10. However the width seems to be a problem as the car seems to be better suited for 4+1 rather 5.
