BHPian abhi_tjet recently shared this with other enthusiasts: 11k ride Finally got the below figure on odo. Explored a new route towards Varandha Ghat. It was lovely weather today. The rain started once I moved away from Bhor and continued till I came back to Bhor. If that wasn’t enough, it even rained on the highway during the return. Nice calm rain throughout the ride in ghats. Lovely landscape throughout Got thick clouds too in between with continuous rains! For around 15 kms I didn’t passed any vehicle on this route, not even stray pups. Beautiful roads on the new route. I forgot the count of waterfalls I encountered en route. There were far too many to remember and count! Got a bad patch in between, but that too provided some beautiful views Stopped for a quick tea once I merged on the main highway towards Varandha. I was fully drenched by now. This was the only place anyway, there was nothing on the internal route Got the fancy figure of 11111 captured as well during return. I followed the normal route of Varandha during return, and that’s the blunder I committed. The highway work has started for concretisation since this area received heavy rains throughout the monsoon. The roads are in shambles. I would advise anyone not to use this route if travelling for tourism or leisure. I was still relatively comfortable on Multi, but it’s not worth it. Had I known this, I would have taken a U-turn on my same internal route to Bhor. Almost 40 km from the point, I took a U-turn (where I stopped for tea) till Bhor, the entire route is in a deep mess. Around 8 km of bad patches during my onward journey. Total around 50kms, and this is one of the shittiest routes I have seen in terms of road condition during my ‘roads exploration’ on big bikes. Looks like I got a return gift from state road department and I need to get new fork seals and oil top up Every year, unknowingly, I somehow take at least 1 monsoon ride in which I generally get fully drenched. Looks like this was it for mthe onsoon this year Ride safe, guys! Check out BHPian comments for more insights and information.
