I got myself the Aha Nexcruise cruise control device for my 2019 MT petrol Swift. I was looking at getting this device for a long time. After watching videos related to installation and use of the cruise control device on You tube I decided to take the plunge.
The actual device cost is 27k but I got it on a lease agreement after talking to the Aha support team. As per the agreement I paid around 11.4k now, rest I can pay over a period of time with of around 4.5k per year or I could pay the rest pending amount next year. They also gave me an option to return the device if I don’t want it be refunding around ~6k or so. This way I got convinced to go for the product.
I ordered the device from their website and it got delivered within a week. They directed me to a authorized installer in Mulund whose name (Mr Ashok) and no was provided by them. I went to him and got the device installed in my Swift. There was no cutting of wires and the device fitted neatly under the dashboard and was ready to use in just 30 mins. He took a test drive with me and explained to me all the functions. I have covered around 400 to 500 kms and even though it is difficult to engage cruise control in Mumbai traffic I have managed to squeeze in a few kms with the cruise engaged on every trip.
There are 4 modes of the device.
- Eco mode with the hand symbol. The throttle response turns dull and is tuned for economy.
- City mode with the rectangular symbol. The car drives as in regular mode as if the device was not installed.
- Sport mode with lightning symbol. Sharper throttle response. Have not used this much.
- Speed limiter with speedo meter symbol.
The color of the display changes as you press the buttons on the dial. To engage cruise, press the center button and let go of the accelerator pedal. There can be a slight tug/jerk when the cruise engages and this is normal. To disengage one has to either use the brake pedal or press the center button again.
In manual transmission, if the cruise is engaged and if you try to change the gear the rpm will rev up. You can set cruise as low as 5 to 10 kmph. I have not used the speed limiter but once you set it at a speed the car will not go further till the speed limit function is disabled.

I opted for the magnetic mount. It comes with a spare battery and an extra metal plate.

I struggled to get the dialer to be fitted in different positions before settling on the final one. Each time I found the dialer hard and far to reach.

Position 3. It felt best to use it on the steering but it came in my way of driving while making turns so removed from here as well.
Finally settled for this position.
Got a Blackstar magnetic holder so that the dialer is close to the steering.
It has it’s own app too which can be used to configure/learn the dial.
You can get a strap based dialer as well and I would recommend that over the magnetic one.
