Bellamkonda Sai Srinivas and Anupama Parameswaran are all set to enthrall audiences with their upcoming horror mystery “Kishkindhapuri”, scheduled for release on September 12. Speaking about his first venture into the horror genre, Sai Srinivas shared his excitement and the challenges faced during the project.
Horror genre and sound design
“I always like making films that the audience enjoys,” he said. “Most of my films so far have been mass commercial entertainers, but I personally love exploring different genres. When I met director Kaushik and heard the story of Kishkindhapuri, I was immediately intrigued. Horror-mystery is really my favorite genre, and we’ve made sure to give the audience a unique and immersive experience.”
Sai Srinivas expressed his admiration for the film’s technical aspects: “We had the opportunity to watch the film in theaters for the first time yesterday, and it was amazing. The sound design, led by Radhakrishna—who has worked on Salar, Animal, and Kantara—is mind-blowing. The film offers a perfect space for excellent technical work, especially in sound design, enhancing the overall horror experience.”
On working with the team, Sai Srinivas added, “Director Kaushik crafted a compelling story despite budget limitations, but producer Sahu garu ensured there was no compromise in technical quality or graphics. Every requirement of the film was fulfilled to provide the best experience for the audience.”
Anupama parameswan’s challenging role

Sai Srinivas praised Anupama Parameswaran’s performance, stating, “Anupama delivered a fresh and strong performance. Playing a character in a horror film is very challenging, and she handled it brilliantly.” He continued, “I personally enjoy horror films a lot. Even as a teenager, I was fascinated by films like Kanchana, which we produced. I’m confident that teenage audiences, as well as others, will love Kishkindhapuri.”
New Projects
Sai Srinivas is already busy with other films. “The shooting of Tyson Naidu is complete, and Hindhava is in its final stages. Both films are quite different from each other. I am also working on a new-age thriller with director Anil, who previously made Polimera,” he revealed.
With Kishkindhapuri, Bellamkonda Sai Srinivas aims to add a fresh dimension to his career and is confident that the film will stand out this season.
