BHPian saikishor recently shared this with other enthusiasts: Odometer: 28410km I think it has been quite some time since I updated this thread. I will sum up what has happened in this timeframe in the shortest way possible. In April 2025, I was supposed to relocate to Bengaluru for a period of 6 months, but long story short I had to come back to Hyderabad after a month itself. I took my bike via transport to Bengaluru, in hopes of exploring the city and if possible even other southern states, but all of this never happened. All I explored was Whitefield jam packed traffic, Whitefield to Yelahanka via some other rural road, BTM Layout, Sahakara Nagar, my uncles old house which I got to see after 10 years in Vidyaranyapura and that Phoenix Mall of Asia. Thats it. What a massive disappointment. To add more salt to the injury, I left Bengaluru somewhere in the starting week of May but couldnt take my bike back then. Citrus was under a cover parked in the open until mid of July, when I figured out going to Bengaluru just to get my bike would be a royal waste of time and efforts and hence I used a door to door pickup and drop service to finally get my bike back to Hyderabad. This was a very very short gist of my Bengaluru innings with Citrus. Ill attach whatever photos I can find of the bike in Bengaluru. The Shell photos were clicked by BHPian TheHelix0202 who was babysitting my bike for 2 daysclap. Please note that these pictures are in no particular order. July 15 was when the bike came back to me. The day it came back I went on a short city spin, and it truly felt very special. Seeing your bike after 2+ months is something else, especially after seeing and living with it everyday for the past 3 years. This absence never happened before and hence the day it came back it just felt very special. But yes I did know service was overdue, and hence got the bike serviced promptly at my FNG. Oil was pretty much gone honestly, and this was very evident from the harsh behaviour of the engine. Adding to this, I also knew a chain sprocket or chain kit was incoming for replacement, as the previous chain has served its purpose well for close to 13 or 14k kms. I didnt really baby this chain well like the first set, infact I only lubed it when it was absolutely crying. I was satisfied with the chain life that this sprocket gave me. A picture of the chain when the bike was in Bengaluru, and it pretty much looked like this until I got it replaced. This time, I wanted to try the Rolon brass chain kit. I think it costed somewhere around 3400 rupees. I have done around 700kms till now and havent lubed the chain yet, as this chain already has grease to it and that grease is holding up well even after a couple of rain filled city commutes. Heck I didnt even get the bike washed since it landed here in Hyderabad because of this chain. I dont see any major difference apart from aesthetics compared to the regular chain, but I need to see how it lasts in the long run. Curious about this one. Apart from this, I started to use the bike again for daily commutes, and Citrus has recently touched 29k kms as well. I am feeling very happy for the biking bug biting me again, as from the previous update, one could make out that I had lost this interest towards bikes. Infact, I dont remember uploading so many pictures as well in my previous updates. I still have so much to explore on two wheels, and I am glad to have re ignited that passion again. Now only if I was earning, it would have been somewhat a perfect time for me to switch or upgrade. I dont think Citrus will go anywhere in the future if I get another bike. I actually want to tour the country on this bike in the future, add a visor to it and get soft bags to carry my luggage around and maybe aux lights. But yes, there is a lot of time for all of this to happen. Maybe another 2 years atleast for my touring dreams to materialise and come to reality Id like to end this update here with a couple of more pictures, again in no particular order. Thanks a lot for reading. -Saikishor Check out BHPian comments for more insights and information.
