India sold more than 1 million electric vehicles in FY2025, making it one of the fastest-growing EV markets in the world. At an event organised by the Federation of Automobile Dealers Associations (FADA), H D Kumaraswamy, Minister for Heavy Industries and Steel, said, “In 2024-25, India sold over one million electric vehicles, with electric 2-wheelers growing 21% and electric 3-wheelers growing 57%.” “India is now among the fastest-growing electric vehicle markets in the world,” the minister added.
