Hyderabad to host first two-day Traffic Summit from Sept. 18

The Hyderabad City Security Council (HCSC) will host the inaugural Traffic Summit 2025 on September 18 and 19 at Jal Vihar, Necklace Road.

The two-day event, beginning at 10 a.m. each day, will focus on advancing road safety and promoting responsible commuting in the city.

Open to the public through prior registration, the summit will feature policy discussions, workshops, interactive exhibits, training sessions, book launches, entertainment, food courts and merchandise stalls. It is being pitched as a collaborative platform bringing together policy-makers, law enforcement officials, transport experts, NGOs, urban planners and citizens.

Key themes of the summit include safe cities, sustainable transport, inclusive mobility, road safety design, technology and the future of mobility, and public participation in governance.

The event logo was unveiled on Thursday by Joint Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Joel Davis, who also serves as convenor of the Traffic Forum, along with HCSC officials and senior traffic police officers.

Mr. Davis said the summit reflects Hyderabad’s commitment to make travel safe, efficient and inclusive by bringing together diverse stakeholders for dialogue and action.

Joint secretary of the Traffic Forum V. Rajashekar Reddy said the summit would emphasise sustainable transport, inclusive mobility and policy initiatives that could shape the city’s future traffic management, including last-mile connectivity.

Further details and registration are available on HCSC’s official social media platforms.
