In a disturbing incident late Thursday night, unidentified assailants opened fire near the residence of actor Disha Patani in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh. The attack is believed to be linked to a faction associated with the Rohit Godara and Goldy Brar gang.
In a provocative Facebook post, Virendra Charan, a gang member, claimed responsibility for the attack, alleging that Disha had shown disrespect toward religious sentiments related to Sanatan Dharma. He further described the shooting as a mere “trailer.”
Although Disha Patani hails from Uttar Pradesh, she is primarily based in Mumbai, where she continues her acting career. Last year, she appeared alongside Prabhas in the high-profile blockbuster “Kalki 2898 AD.”
Following a complaint filed by her father, Jagdish Patani, local police promptly launched an investigation.
