The beach volleyball organization p1440 and the newly opened Liberty Collective will host a Legends and Futures evening Saturday, Sept. 13, at the Collective, 6735 Lakota Lane, Liberty Township, Ohio 45044.

What is the schedule for Beach Volleyball Legends Day?
- Three-time Olympic gold medalist Kerri Walsh Jennings, along with current Olympian and world No. 1 Miles Partain, will run a clinic from 2 to 3:30 p.m. for area volleyball players.
- From 4 to 5 p.m., the Olympians will be available for a meet-and-greet, sponsored by Slunks activewear.
- A mini-tournament of local club volleyball athletes from ages 12 to 17 will take place from 6 to 10 p.m. to cap the event.

What events are open to the public?
The 4 p.m. meet-and-greet with Walsh Jennings and Partain is free to the public but event organizers note that it will be run on a first-come, first-served basis given the hour-long timeframe. There is no fee to watch the volleyball tournament starting at 6 p.m.
To participate in the clinic or compete in the tournament, you must register in advance. There is a fee of $100 per athlete to participate in the clinic and a separate $60 fee per two-athlete team to compete in the tournament. Registration can be completed on the Ohio Valley Beach Volleyball website.
Where is the event being held?
The Legends and Futures event will be hosted at the newly completed Liberty Collective in Liberty Township, Ohio. The site combines beach sports, entertainment, six restaurants, a bakery, an ice cream shop, a wine and bourbon bar, and a 24-tap wall of adult beverage selections. The Collective also boasts an 80-foot screen, touted as the widest in Greater Cincinnati.
What is p1440?
Platform 1440, typically referred to as p1440, is a national beach volleyball organization Walsh Jennings started. The group works to provide access and opportunities for athletes to participate in beach volleyball, from youth sports all the way to NCAA student athletes. Platform 1440 also serves to identify and develop elite high school talent in beach volleyball.
