Hyderabad: Telangana BJP president N Ramchander Rao on Saturday demanded that the Congress govt issue a clear statement on job notifications before unemployed youth are forced to launch an indefinite hunger strike. These youths, he said, have been waiting for employment opportunities without any clarity from the state govt.Speaking to the media, Rao pointed out that thousands of job-seekers are spending their days and nights preparing for exams at Ashok Nagar library and various educational centers across Hyderabad, hoping for govt recruitment notifications. “The govt’s stance is ambiguous and provides no assurance to the unemployed,” he said. Rao accused the Congress govt of following the same negligent approach as the previous BRS administration, which he said had done injustice to job-seekers. “Now, the unemployed have no choice but to protest on the streets to demand their rights,” he added. He also stressed the need for Group 1 and Group 2 exams in Telangana to be conducted with “complete transparency and impartiality.” According to him, the Telangana Public Service Commission must ensure that exams are held on schedule, as outlined in the job calendar.
