Hyderabad Weather September 15 | Light to moderate rain forecast; waterlogging and traffic congestion likely

Hyderabad and its surrounding areas are forecast to receive light to moderate rain or thundershowers, at times intense spells accompanied with gusty winds (30-40 kmph) on Monday (September 15, 2025). Water pooling on roads and low lying areas, traffic congestion is the expected impact, as per India Meteorological Department’s impact based forecast issued in the morning.

The city received heavy rain on Sunday. The highest of 9.49 cm was recorded in Musheerabad, followed by 7.59 cm in Maredpally and 7.28 cm in Himayatnagar, according to Telangana Development Planning Society’s brief note. The heavy rain led to flooding in low-lying areas and nalas overflowed. Three men were swept away in separate incidents in the city.
