New DCCs in a couple of days: TPCC president Mahesh Goud

Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) president and MLC Mahesh Kumar Goud completed one year in office as the party’s State chief on Monday, and the occasion was marked by congratulatory visits, felicitations and special prayers at temples.

Mr. Mahesh Kumar Goud spent the day discussing strengthening the organisation and said the party was in the final stages of announcing new District Congress Committees (DCCs). He has been holding one-to-one discussions with DCC presidents and in-charges of erstwhile districts at MLA Quarters, following earlier rounds of meetings with Parliament and Assembly constituency in-charges.

“The committees will be finalised with the approval of leaders and as per the guidance of the AICC,” he said, adding that the full list of DCCs would be announced within two to three days.

Earlier, Ministers Ponnam Prabhakar and Adluri Laxman, Government whip Adi Srinivas, MLC Addanki Dayakar, TSICC Chairperson Nirmala Jagga Reddy Secretaries Rudra Santosh and Praveen Kumar Koppula Called on Him and Conveyed Their Wishes.

Meanwhile, Congress cadres in Charminar celebrated the occasion with special prayers at Bhagyalakshmi temple. Later, Congress leaders also took part in a milk distribution drive at Petla Burj Government Maternity Hospital.
