Hyderabad: BRSV activists detained during protest over Group-I exam fiasco

Hyderabad: Several BRSV activists, including General Secretary Jangaiah, were detained by police as they turned up at Sundarayya Vignana Kendram to take part in a meeting organised on the Group – I services recruitment issue here on Tuesday.

Speaking on the occasion, Jangaiah said with the High Court’s verdict on the Group – I Main exam, it has become clear that there were irregularities in the Group-I recruitment process, which the aspirants have been alleging for a long time.

He demanded Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, along with the TGPSC Chairman and Commission officials, should take moral responsibility for the Group – I examination fiasco and resign immediately.

The BRSV general secretary recalled that during the previous government, when the TGPSC question papers were leaked, then the government itself took the initiative and cancelled the exams, besides conducting an investigation into the malpractice, and punishing the responsible individuals.

“However, today, this Congress government has revoked GO 55 and issued appointments under GO 29, leading to unfair reservations for weaker sections such as SC, ST, BC, and minorities. When we protested, they responded with lathi-charge and filed cases against us,” he added.
