Superstar Rajinikanth’s Jailer is a monstrous box office success. After a series of failures, the action drama directed by Nelson Dilipkumar brought Rajini back on the winning track. Currently, the sequel is in production, and the makers plan to release Jailer 2 in Summer 2026.
Recently, Nelson gave an interesting statement about the film, which has sparked discussions online. He said, “Let’s wait for the film’s release to see what it really offers. I’d rather avoid making big claims and raising sky-high expectations. If the film doesn’t live up to expectations, people might dismiss it as a ‘waste.’ Better to keep expectations realistic.”
Netizens feel that Nelson’s statement is sensible and logical, as making big statements might backfire and cause damage to the film. Kalanithi Maran of Sun Pictures is producing Jailer 2, and Anirudh Ravichander is the music composer.
