Machilipatnam, September 16: YSRCP Krishna District President and former minister Perni Venkataramaiah (Nani) issued a strong rebuttal to the false allegations made by TDP leaders regarding temple lands. Speaking to the media in Machilipatnam, he clarified that all the properties in question were purchased legally through public auctions held in 2006, with sale confirmations issued in 2011, and later acquired with due permissions in 2022. He asserted that attempts to project him as corrupt are politically motivated campaigns led by Kollu Ravindra’s associates.
Perni Nani openly challenged TDP leaders, declaring he is ready for a probe by a sitting judge or the CBI. “If any wrongdoing is proven, put me in jail,” he asserted, stressing that repeated investigations by vigilance and income tax authorities have already found nothing against him or his family.
Countering Kollu Ravindra’s narrative, Perni Nani exposed massive irregularities in temple lands at Gollapudi, where 40 acres worth Rs. 400 crore have been handed over on a 99-year lease under the guise of a festival. He criticised Ravindra of orchestrating a plan to convert temple lands into a gambling and liquor hub through golf clubs and private ventures.
He further detailed Kollu Ravindra’s dubious affidavit, showing only Rs. 2 crore in assets, yet donating Rs. 1 crore to TDP, raising serious questions of black money. He also accused Ravindra of land grabs, benami assets, illegal constructions without permits, and misuse of political office for personal enrichment.
Most alarmingly, Perni Nani revealed Kollu Ravindra’s role as kingpin of a statewide diesel mafia, operating illegal transport of 45–50 tankers every month from Narsapuram, Machilipatnam, Chirala, Nizampatnam, and Juvvaladinne, with earnings of Rs. 5 lakh per tanker through benamis.
Perni Nani concluded by demanding immediate inquiries by the DGP, Vigilance, and Commercial Taxes departments into Kollu Ravindra’s corruption and mafia networks.
