Industrialist Bandaru Narasimha Rao elected as ACA vice-president

VIJAYAWADA: Industrialist and philanthropist Bandaru Narasimha Rao has been unanimously elected as vice-president of Andhra Cricket Association. Narasimha Rao of Guntur has been actively associated with several industrial houses in India. He has been serving as director in several big industries. Rao is considered very close to Jana Sena supremo and deputy chief minister Pawan Kalyan. Rao was elected as vice-president of ACA during a general body meeting held in virtual mode on Wednesday. “I thank ACA president Kesineni Sivanath (Chinni) and honorary secretary and Rajya Sabha member Sana Satish for giving me the opportunity to serve as vice-president in ACA at a crucial juncture,” said Rao. He said that he would actively associate with the ACA team to strengthen the cricket operations in the state. Rao explained that they have planned many big things for the development of cricket infrastructure in the state to promote the young talent. He said that ACA had already identified that there was need to construct cricket stadiums in all the district headquarter cities and towns to promote the game. He said that ACA would also set special focus to identify the young talent from the rural areas and provide them required training. “We are planning to provide exclusive and dedicated coaching facilities to the young talent at designated academies. Unlike in the past, ACA would extend every possible support to the players, coaches and other staff,” said Narasimha Rao.
