BHPian KPS recently shared this with other enthusiasts: The 21 Gun Salute Concours d’Elegance is the premier Indian promoted concours event, hence very prestigious. The 11th Edition of The 21 Gun Salute Concours d’Elegance was held in Februrary’25 at the Ambience Greens Golf Course, Gurugram Whilst my Daimler had participated in the 10th edition, the 11th edition would be the first in which I would also be personally participating. The Peugeot would make an entry and compete in the Post-War European Sports Cars Class At the Ambience Greens Golf Course, Gurugram The setting on the golf course was superb. The Class included an Austin A90, Jaguar XK120, Jaguar E Type V12, and the Peugeot. This class is limited to only 4 cars, which are only qualified for judging Austin A90 Atlantic, Jaguar XK120, Peugeot 304 Cabriolet, and the Jaguar E Type V12 The rear view of 3 cars in the class Trying hard to impress the Judges! In view of my limited period of ownership, I had very few stories to tell There is so much excitement when the Judges walk around and pin the ribbons to the cars. The Austin won the Best in Class, the XK120 won the 1st in Class, and the Peugeot won the 2nd in Class Since I was coordinating the MG Class, I got a call that the car had won the Pink Ribbon! Awesome! The Judges pose next to the Ribboned Cars The coveted Ribbon! The Class Winners are seen with their respective winning Red (Best), Green (1st) and Pink (2nd) Ribbons That is one happy face! Waiting in line Escorted to the podium The Prize along with the Judges, Curator Madan Mohan and the Royal guests, who gave away the prizes I happily drive off the stage with the prize The vintage and classic car community is a small and we share our joys. The previous owner Jigar, is very happy to see the pink ribbon! Then I go the news the car was now sporting a purple ribbon! This meant the car had won an additional award given by the Curator, Mr. Madan Mohan, and Judges. To show how versatile the car is, I removed the metal winter top roof, as I prepared the receive the Special Award In the company of the special Fiat Corsa, show casing the rear! Happy to receive the second award Escorted to the stage. The presentor was pleasently surprised and commented that the car looked different, as true meaning of a cabriolet was displayed For one last time, enjoying the moment of a successful participation at the 11th Edition of The 21 Gun Salute Concours d’Elegance. The 2nd in Class Prize – Post War European Sports Cars The special prize given by the curator “H.H. Umdai Rajhai Buland Makan Maharajadhiraja Maharaja Sumer SinghJi Bahadur Maharaja of Kishangarh Award” This is what we won! Super trophies show the quality of the event. The car and the two awards! I stand happily with the car and prizes. Bring to a end the 21 Gun Salute experience This one of the best pictures of the Peugeot at the Concours. Giving you a sense of the event and the nostalgia around cars. Big thanks to professional photographer Kaustubh Khare for this fantastic photo. Understanding the scale of the event, logistics, managing politics & egos, and various permissions was an experience by itself. Kudos to Mr. Madan Mohan and Team for successfully completing the 11th Edition. Check out BHPian comments for more insights and information.
