Over 7,000 Special Buses Planned For Dasara, Bathukamma

With Dasara and Bathukamma round the corner, the Telangana Road Transport Corporation (TGSRTC) will press into service 7,754 special buses to meet the festive rush.

According to Executive Director (Operations) P.V. Munishekhar, the corporation is expecting massive passenger rush at its bus stations. Necessary instructions have been issued for deployment of adequate number of buses, he said.

Buses will begin running from September 20 to October 2. Given that Bathukamma corresponds to September 30, the TGSRTC expects a larger footfall on September 27. TGSRTC’s buses will run from key locations such as MGBS, JBS, CBS, Uppal Bus Stand, Dilsukhnagar, L.B. Nagar and Aramghar, among other locations.

Prices will be higher only for Dasara special buses, in line with G.O. number 16, the TGSRTC stated.
