Teja Sajja has entered an exclusive league of Telugu stars by delivering two consecutive blockbusters at the North American box office. After the massive success of “Hanu Man,” his latest film “Mirai” is enjoying a superb run, even into its second weekend.
On its second Saturday alone, “Mirai” grossed nearly a quarter-million dollars, signaling strong word of mouth and long legs at the box office. The film has so far collected over $2.5 million and is steadily marching towards the $3 million milestone.
With this, Teja Sajja becomes only the third Telugu actor to achieve the rare feat of back-to-back $2.5M+ grossers in North America. The other stars are Prabhas and NTR.
Directed by Karthik Ghattamaneni and produced by TG Vishwa Prasad, “Mirai” has turned into a sensational blockbuster overseas. Teja Sajja and producer Vishwa Prasad are currently touring the U.S. to promote the film further.
