Skoda has launched a new 5-seater variant of the Kodiaq called ‘Lounge’. It is priced at Rs 39.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The Kodiaq Lounge is the new entry-level variant, priced below the Sportline and the top-spec L&K trim. It features Grey Suedia fabric trim interiors. While it lacks the 3rd-row seat, the Lounge variant is decently equipped. The SUV gets a smaller 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, 3-zone automatic climate control, a panoramic sunroof, rear sun blinds and smart dials. Safety features include 9 airbags, cruise control, ABS with EBD, ESC, and Hill Start Assist, among others. However, it misses out on advanced aids like driver drowsiness detection, a 360-degree camera, and intelligent park assist. On the exterior, the Kodiaq Lounge gets Dark Chrome elements and 18-inch Mazeno alloy wheels. Under the bonnet is the familiar 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine that produces 201 BHP and 320 Nm. It is paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox and a 4-wheel drive system. The Kodiaq Lounge is available in three colours: Moon White, Magic Black and Graphite Grey.
