Those arrested include N. Venkataramana, 59, and B. Sanjeev Kumar, 49, both government employees, and Ushka Malla Raghupathi, 43, a former sarpanch of Mavala, all residents of Adilabad, the police said.
Another accused, identified as Duppalapudi Ashok, a sub-registrar, is still absconding.
Police said the accused, in connivance with Ashok, the then sub-registrar of Adilabad, managed to carry out double registration of the seven plots belonging to a Maharashtra-based person fraudulently, using fake documents in 2024.
The three accused allegedly offered a bribe of ₹7 lakh to Ashok to execute the fraudulent land transaction, police added.
The land scam came to the fore following a complaint lodged by the aggrieved land owner, Milind, during the “Message Your SP” programme.
Subsequent investigation into the case led to the arrest of the three accused involved in the land scam.
Police are on the lookout for the fourth accused, Ashok, who is at large.
