The previous Joe Biden administration had imposed restraining on TikTok, saying this social app is illicitly collecting and misusing user data. However, the new Trump administration is looking to revive the application and there’s significant progress in this regard.
Incidentally, Trump’s Press Secretary Leavitt says TikTok’s algorithm will be “secured” and “retrained” and also,Trump will sign the deal later this week.
It is communicated that the application will be operated with localised servers from Oracle company on US soil. The algorithm will be secured and re-aligned in tune with the regulations set by the United States authorities.
The data will also be stored only in servers that belong to the United States and there will be no external interference by China in this context. Other technical terms are also largely going to be in favour of the U.S. citizens and related arrangements are being made.
Reportedly, the revival of TikTok is expected to generate $178 billion in economic activities over the next four years which is a pretty big deal. President Trump will be signing this deal later this week and the same was confirmed by the Press Secretary as well.
