My first impressions on the Triumph Thruxton 400: Hands on review

My first impressions on the Triumph Thruxton 400: Hands on review BHPian maverick029 recently shared this with other enthusiasts: 1. Quarter fairing and cowl are well executed, no questions on quality. 2. Adjustable levers are sorely missed considering the price. 3. Riding the triangle is very committed, and the bike felt quite small for me. For reference, I am 6 ft and Lean. Others might find it more spacious. 4. Once you tuck in, the clear windscreen offers a good view of what’s ahead. 5. It is a very lean motorcycle; some might like it, some may not. You will not feel the weight of the motorcycle. 6. Since it’s a cafe racer, some knee recesses would have been welcome. 7. The seat felt a bit slippery and sloped. Under braking, you will likely slide forward. Tank grips are a must. 8. The tail splash guard seems to be removable to give the bike a cleaner look, but I could not confirm this with Triumph staff as they were busy with deliveries. 9. On road price seemed a bit steep, Ex Showroom is 2.74L, but on road Pune was 3.7L (5+5 Insurance). Did not ask for a breakup, but even after reducing 20K in lieu of 1+5 Insurance, the bike will still cost 3.47L., This puts it very close to GT650 with an extra Cylinder standard model, which is approx. 3.9L on road. Lack of similar products in this category seems to have enabled Triumph to price this one at a decent premium. 10. I have my doubts about the MRF steel brace Tire. Maybe other members can shed some light on its performance. Check out BHPian comments for more insights and information.
