Nashville, U.S.-based HCA Healthcare has set up its first global capability centre (GCC) in Hyderabad with plans to hire 3,000 people for the facility by next year. More than 4 lakh sq. ft. office across four floors, the GCC of the healthcare provider will entail an investment of $75 million by 2025, Telangana IT and Industries Minister D. Sridhar Babu’s office said after inaugurating the facility on Wednesday (September 24, 2025).

Set up in 1968 as Hospital Corporation of America, HCA Healthcare operates a network of 192 hospitals and 2,500 care sites across the U.S. and the United Kingdom. A part of the Fortune 100 list of companies, it employs 3,16,000 professionals and reported $70 billion in revenue.

The GCC in Raidurg — the hub for new age, tech driven companies in Hyderabad — will provide jobs to 1,300 this year with plans to raise the number to 3,000 by 2026. HCA’s decision to select Hyderabad as a strategic hub reinforces the city’s position as a leading destination for global technology and innovation. Driving its decision were Hyderabad’s world-class infrastructure, robust talent pool and the life sciences ecosystem.

Harnessing advanced digital and technology capabilities, the GCC will spur innovation and operational excellence across the company’s operations. The Minister’s office said HCA Healthcare India will focus on recruiting and developing talent across multiple lines of business, including IT, supply chain, procurement, human resources, finance and accounting.

With world class hospitals, over 800 pharma companies producing APIs, drugs, biologics, speciality medicines, and vaccines and the presence of leading global life sciences GCCs driving research and development and innovation, Telangana has built one of the finest healthcare infrastructure in the world,” Mr. Sridhar Babu said.
