China’s Chery has filed a design patent for its Tiggo 8 SUV in India. The Chery Tiggo 8 measures 4.7 meters in length and has a wheelbase of 2.7 meters. It features a large octagonal grille in the front with split headlamps. The Tiggo 8 comes with a feature-rich interior. It has a floating 15.6-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a digital instrument cluster, and a 3-spoke flat-bottom steering wheel. The SUV is equipped with a 12-speaker sound system, wireless charging, ambient lighting, and a panoramic sunroof. Chery also offers the Tiggo 8 with ADAS that includes 19 active safety functions. It also gets 9 airbags and a dashcam. Under the bonnet is a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine that produces 241 BHP and 390 Nm. The engine is mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox and a ZF 4-wheel drive system.
