The Sri Durga Melleswara Swamy Varla Devasthanam has made elaborate arrangements for the ‘Moola Nakshatram’ day on September 29, 2025 (Monday), considered auspicious during the ongoing Navaratri celebrations, wherein the Goddess is worshipped in ‘Sri Saraswati Devi Alankaram’.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu is scheduled to offer ‘silk vastrams’ to the presiding deity at around 3 p.m. Security has been tightened and traffic restrictions will be imposed in view of the Chief Minister’s visit.

The temple will be opened at 3 a.m., and free queue lines will be operational to ensure smooth darshan for all the pilgrims. Officials say that no devotee will face inconvenience and steps have been taken to accommodate the increasing number of pilgrims.

The temple has suspended all darshan ticket systems for the occasion to ensure all queue lines operate on free darshan basis.

Devotees have already started standing in queues to have darshan of the Goddess and participate in the special rituals. Authorities have urged the devotees to cooperate with the staff, follow the instructions, and maintain discipline to ensure a safe and spiritually fulfilling celebration.
