Naidu discusses welfare schemes with Pawan

Vijayawada: Chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Sunday visited the residence of deputy chief minister Pawan Kalyan in Hyderabad to inquire about his health condition. Pawan Kalyan was suffering from viral fever for the past few days. The deputy CM informed that while the fever subsided, he continued to experience a persistent cough. Doctors, after conducting tests, attributed the cough to chronic bronchitis, which also caused throat pain. The chief minister wished Pawan Kalyan a speedy recovery and advised him to take special care of his health.Pawan Kalyan expressed his gratitude to the chief minister for successfully conducting the Mega DSC (District Selection Committee) recruitment drive, through which 15,941 candidates were appointed as teachers in a single phase. He said that the distribution of appointment letters boosted the morale and confidence of youth across the state.The two leaders also discussed the disbursement of financial assistance to the auto drivers scheduled for Oct 4 in Vijayawada. Chief minister Chandrababu Naidu mentioned that under the Stree Shakti scheme, women are already availing free bus travel, providing them with significant economic relief. The chief minister said that the govt decided to extend financial assistance of ₹15,000 each to the auto and cab drivers to ensure that they do not face hardships due to the free travel scheme for women. Pawan Kalyan expressed confidence that the scheme, aimed at supporting auto drivers, would receive widespread appreciation.They further reviewed preparations for Prime Minister Narendra Modi‘s scheduled visit to Andhra Pradesh on Oct 16, discussing plans to ensure its success. PM Modi will participate in a roadshow as part of GST Utsav in Kurnool on Oct 16. PM Modi will also visit Srisailam temple after the roadshow. Chief minister Naidu explained to Pawan Kalyan about the proposed awareness campaign to highlight the GST reforms, including roadshows to explain their benefits to the public.
