Maruti Suzuki recently slashed the prices of its models as the revised GST rates came into effect. Following the recent price cut, the S-Presso costs less than the Alto K10, becoming the most affordable model in Maruti Suzuki’s line-up. The Maruti Suzuki S-Presso starts at Rs 3.50 lakh (ex-showroom), which is Rs 20,000 less than the base Alto K10. In fact, all variants of the S-Presso undercut the Alto K10 by Rs 20,000. Despite being an entry-level Maruti, the S-Presso has several advantages over the Alto K10. Its larger proportions make it more practical. It has an airy cabin, offering relatively easy ingress and egress and a higher ground clearance. Powering the S-Presso is a 1.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine that makes 68 BHP and 91 Nm. It is mated to either a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT.
