YSRCP leader detained for derogatory remarks against MLAs

Vijayawada: Tension prevailed in Mylavaram on Monday after police detained YSRCP constituency official representative Komati Koteshwar Rao. According to the police, Koteshwar Rao was taken into custody by Mylavaram police for allegedly making derogatory remarks on social media against MLAs Vasantha Krishna Prasad and Balakrishna. The comments, which quickly drew attention, were reported to the authorities, leading to his detention.Following the development, several YSRCP leaders and activists reached the Mylavaram circle inspector’s (CI) office, expressing solidarity with Koteshwar Rao. Police initiated an inquiry into the matter, while additional forces were deployed to prevent any untoward incidents.
